This year, the thirst for victory in the Milk Bowl will extend far beyond the Northeast. West Des Moines, Iowa’s Mason Mitchell, the 2014 ARCA Racing Series Champion, has officially entered the 56th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank and will look to bring the famed milk can trophy back to the heartland.

The “Toughest Short Track Race in North America” will be available to a worldwide audience once again in 2018.  Speed51.com and Thunder Road International Speedbowl officials announced Wednesday that the 56th Vermont Milk Bowl Weekend will be streamed live via a pay-per-view broadcast on Speed51.com.

The 56th Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank is coming up fast on the Thunder Road calendar. With three days of racing action scheduled for Friday, September 28 to Sunday, September 30, this year’s Milk Bowl is setting up to be the biggest in the event’s 56-year history.

Thunder Road officials have announced the full schedule of events for the 56th Vermont Milk Bowl Weekend presented by Northfield Savings Bank. The 3-day event from Friday, September 28 through Sunday, September 30 is expected to be one of the biggest in Milk Bowl history, with eight divisions featuring the best local and touring racers in the Northeast.

Hometown racer Jason Corliss proved once again that he’s the man to beat in big Thunder Road events by taking the Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic for the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) on Sunday, September 2. Corliss grabbed the lead from polesitter Cody Blake just before the halfway point and never looked back on his way to a $5,000 payday in the Summer Showdown Series finale.

Thunder Road celebrates one of the biggest weekends in motorsports this Sunday, September 2 with the 40th Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic. The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) will be on hand as part of a holiday weekend program that is expected to draw more than 120 cars to the Barre high banks.

Milton’s Scott Dragon was crowned the “King of the Road” for the second time in his career on Thursday, August 23 at Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Night. Dragon sliced through the field in the Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model feature to cross the finish line second behind Barre’s Cody Blake, earning him the 2018 track championship.
