Barre, VT – Thunder Road officials have announced the addition of the “Road Warrior Challenge” to the Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic on Sunday, September 1. The Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors will run a 50-lap, $500-to-win feature on Labor Day Sunday – the longest and highest-paying event in the division’s history.

Barre, VT – Officials from the Bullring Bash Quarter Mile Challenge presented by RaceChoice.com and Thunder Road Speedbowl have jointly agreed to cancel the Bullring Bash’s appearance at the Coca-Cola Labor Day Classic on Sunday, September 1.

The Bullring Bash portion of the schedule, which was to consist of a 100-lap Tour-type Modified event and a 35-lap event for the Midstate Site Development Legends, will not be rescheduled. The remaining portion of the Labor Day Classic at Thunder Road, which includes a 200-lap event for the American-Canadian Tour and a 50-lap event for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, is still on as scheduled.

Barre, VT – Northfield’s Matt White barreled to his first Thunder Road win in more than two years by taking the Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model victory on Thursday, August 15 at Vermont Tire & Service Night. White dove underneath Washington’s Ricky Roberts for the lead early in the 50-lap feature and never let go of the top spot.

Barre, VT – The season-long championship battles at Thunder Road enter their final stages this Thursday, August 15 at Vermont Tire & Service Night. Just two Thursday night events remain at the “Nation’s Site of Excitement” this year. While the Thursday season may be winding down, the action is just getting started as racers fight to claim a coveted track title.

Barre, VT – Grand Isle’s Mike Billado and Waterbury Center’s Jason Woodard both won big in the Myers Container Service Triple Crown Series finale at Cody Chevrolet-Cadillac Night on Thursday, August 8. Billado held off rookie Stephen Martin of Craftsbury on a two-lap dash to the finish to claim the 75-lap main event for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers. Meanwhile, Woodard’s third-place run locked up the series title.

Barre, VT – Waterbury’s Clement “Desperate” Despault has been named the grand marshal for the Myers Container Service Triple Crown Series finale on Thursday, August 8. The longtime veteran of the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tiger division will help introduce the starting field, wave the green flag to start the 75-lap main event, and assist with trophy presentations.
