Barre, VT — Thunder Road is getting ready for the final point-counting event of the year this Friday, September 17. Efficiency Vermont Championship Night on FloRacing will decide which drivers get to call themselves 2021 track champions for the rest of time.

The Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Models, Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, and RK Miles Street Stocks are crowning their title winners in the Friday night special. The Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors wrap up the last weekly racing event of Thunder Road’s 62nd season. The event is the final prelude to Vermont Milk Bowl Weekend on October 1-3, which will feature the 59th Northfield Savings Bank Milk Bowl plus eight other divisions.

Barre, VT — Morrisville’s Brandon Lanphear topped one of the year’s most dramatic events at Thunder Road by taking the WDEV Radio/Calkins Portable Toilets Trophy Dash on Friday, September 10. Lanphear got the lead for good with three laps remaining in the 50-lap Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model feature, then held off Chris Roberts and Brendan Moodie for his first ever Late Model victory.

ACT/Thunder Road/White Mountain Motorsports Park are accepting applications for a part-time bookkeeper. The position is largely seasonal with approximately 25 hours/week during summer racing season and 10 hours/week during the winter offseason. Hours are flexible with some remote work possible during the winter.
