2 —Trevor Sanborn and McKenna Merchant both won their first career starts at Thunder Road. Sanborn won the PASS Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel 150 on October 1 while Merchant took the Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Truck special on October 16.

3 — Jason Corliss became just the third driver to win three straight “King of the Road” titles. He joins Chuck Beede (1992-94) and Derrick O’Donnell (2013-15). All three drivers did so in the modern Late Model division.

4 — Nick Sweet won his fourth Northfield Savings Bank Vermont Milk Bowl, equaling Robbie Crouch for the most all-time.

Barre, VT — The Tri-Track Open Modified Series (TTOMS) is making its first-ever visit to Barre’s Thunder Road on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Track and series officials have announced the $10,000-to-win Granite Capital 100 as part of the 59th Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic.

Waterbury, VT — The American-Canadian Tour (ACT) has officially postponed the season-ending banquets for the series and its sanctioned tracks until the spring of 2022. The decision was made due to health and safety concerns about the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus in an indoor environment.

Barre, VT — Hometown Nick Sweet capped a heavenly weekend by winning his record-tying fourth Northfield Savings Bank Vermont Milk Bowl at Barre’s Thunder Road on Sunday, October 17. After setting a track record during Saturday qualifying, Sweet won the first 50-lap segment and fought the rest of the way to his 23rd career Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model victory and 12th ACT-sanctioned Late Model triumph.

Corliss & O’Donnell Win Qualifying Races to Set Up Sunday Showdown

Hood Milk Bowl Qualifying Day on Saturday, October 16. Sweet blistered around the Thunder Road high banks in 12.107 seconds to earn the pole for the 59th running of the historic event.
