Due to the uncertain weather forecast with a huge program, including Double Features and travelling V-8 Street Stock teams from Maine, Connecticut and Rhode Island, Thunder Road Officials have made the difficult decision to postpone tonight’s epic Community College of Vermont program to tomorrow, Friday June 24th.

Barre, VT — Following their extremely successful one-off V-8 Street Stock opens at Lee USA Speedway and White Mountain Motorsports Park in the past, the newly established R&R Race Parts Open Street Stock Series is ready to invade Barre, Vermont’s Thunder Road International Speedbowl this Thursday, June 23rd for Community College of Vermont Night.

Barre, VT — The traditional Thunder Road Thursday Night opener in 2022 was a little more wet than anyone planned for and when the rains came, they came hard. With the constant threat of rain forcing officials to push the show along, Casella Waste Management Night schedule bobbed and weaved with the forecast. Barre, VT — Friday’s 5-division card at Thunder Road opened the weekly racing series at the Barre, Vermont oval. The racing was some of the best seen at the storied highbanks this season with razor thin finishes and the fastest speeds ever witnessed at the 63-year-old speedbowl. In the end, it was Derrick Calkins who started his quest for the Myers Container Service Triple Crown on strong footing and New England ace Jon McKennedy who stole the debut show of the New England Supermodified Series.

Barre, VT — Fans are about to get a rare first-time opportunity at Thunder Road International Speedbowl this Friday night with the world debut of the New England Supermodified Series (NESS). This will be the first time these insanely fast, winged beasts have ever taken on the ‘Nation’s Site of Excitement.’ The quick-75-lap main event for the NESS Supermodifieds will join the 75-lap Round One for the Myers Container Service Flying Tiger Triple Crown Series, building a night of close contact, high drama point-battles to start their championship bids.

Barre, VT — Unable to attend the 2021 Banquet of Champions during Community Bank 150 weekend, ACT Late Model Tour and Thunder Road car owner Arnie Hill was able to receive the highest award in the ACT Sanctioned sphere. Aside from owning D.J. Shaw’s runner-up in 2021 ACT points Late Model, as well as Matthew Smith’s ninth in 2021 Thunder Road points mount, a decades-long member of the Vermont racing community and sponsor of multiple machines over the years, Hill was the unanimous choice to receive the prestigious Don MacTavish Memorial Award.
