Barre, VT — Thunder Road Officials announced today that Northfield Savings Bank has resigned a new three-year deal that will see the largest Vermont-based financial institution continue to present the nationally recognized Vermont Milk Bowl through 2025. The Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank will once again feature a spectacular $103,100 purse after an ultra-successful 60th edition of ‘The Toughest Short Track Stock Car Race in North America’ last October. The Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank is set to run for the 61st time on Sunday, October 1st following the always exciting Booth Bros./Hood Qualifying Day on Saturday, September 30th.

Barre, VT — After cutting it up in the world-famous Flying Tiger division last summer, a pair of second-generation drivers are ready to take it to the next level as they chase a new Thunder Road title. Justin Prescott, stepson of 1999 King of the Road Brian Hoar, and Kaiden Fisher, son of 2003 King of the Road Jamie Fisher, and have both made it their goal to be the top rookie in the ultra-competitive Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model class in 2023.

Barre, VT — After weeks of planning, Thunder Road officials have released some exciting schedule changes to the 2023 calendar. With the huge announcement of the nationally renowned SRX Series debuting at Thunder Road on Thursday, July 20th and with the need for Friday, July 21st as a possible rain-date, shifting the schedule became paramount. Along with moving the second round of the Myers Flying Tiger Triple Crown Series to June 29th, the Times Argus Midseason Championships will now be contested on July 6th with an all new Super Saturday on Saturday, August 12th featuring big-money purses for all four Thunder Road divisions and the championship round to an all-new Street Stock Triple Crown in the month of August!

Barre, VT — After three seasons of an outlaw schedule of sorts that saw his team make sparse appearances at the Nation’s Site of Excitement, Barre’s Cody Blake has announced a return to weekly racing at Thunder Road International Speedbowl for 2023. In his announcement, Blake made a point to confirm his intentions to run for the King of the Road title and dethrone 2022 champion Christopher Pelkey.

Barre, VT — In preparation for the upcoming season, Officials are excited to announce that the Thunder Road and American-Canadian Tour organizations have been asked to join the Yankee Sportsman Classic at the Champlain Valley Expo this weekend, Friday January 20th through Sunday January 22nd. Along with the booth ready to showcase the 2023 season for the only asphalt short track in the State of Vermont and one of the oldest international stock car series in North America, two teams have brought their machines in to show-off for the crowds of over 10,000 that will visit Vermont’s largest outdoorsman exhibition. 

Barre, VT — Officials have announced pricing for the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) Event at the iconic Thunder Road International Speedbowl on Thursday, July 20th. General Admission tickets will be available at $45 for Adults with Children, ages 12-and-under set at $20.
