Sam Caron Defends Track Championship by Taking R&R Street Stock 75

Barre, VT — As part of a reimagined opening weekend for the 64th season of stock car racing at Thunder Road International Speedbowl, the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) invaded the State of Vermont on Saturday. The PASS Super Late Models once again stirred the bowl at Thunder Road along with the PASS Modifieds and R&R Race Parts Open Street Stock Series to kick-off the 2023 racing season with plenty of octane and horsepower to fuel the thrills and spills of the tripleheader event.

Defending track champions Christopher Pelkey, Sam Caron and Dean Switser, Jr. are all set to return this Sunday, May 7t to jump start the 2023 season in year 64 for the venerable Vermont speedbowl. Along with the locals come the invaders as the American-Canadian Tour comes home to celebrate the 25th Annual Community Bank N.A. 150.

Thunder Road officials have released the Entry Form for the $8,800 R&R Race Parts Street Stock Open as they race alongside the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models and PASS Modifieds to begin the 64th season of stock car racing in Barre, Vermont on Saturday, May 6th.

Barre, VT — Thunder Road officials announced today the planned purse of $18,390 for the Late Model All-Star Race as part of the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) event on Thursday, July 20th. Alongside such acclaimed SRX stars as Andretti, Stewart, Newman and Tracy, the international Late Model stars of the Northeast will be gunning for a $3,000 grand prize in the winner’s circle with a guaranteed starting pay of $450 for the twenty-six drivers that take the green flag in the 64-lap race to honor Thunder Road’s 64th season of operation. 

Barre, VT — A man who needs no introduction is returning to the Thunder Road public address system for the first time in nearly two decades. Officials have announced today that Vermont’s-own Dave Moody is making his grand return to ‘The Road’ as the announcer for the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) Event on Thursday, July 20th that will see such international stars as Tony Stewart, Marco Andretti, Tony Kanaan and Brad Keselowki, among others, take to the iconic Vermont oval.
