Following Rain Postponement, Cody Chevrolet/Cadillac Night Set for Sunday, August 20th

Barre, VT — While Thunder Road officials and teams tried to beat out the rain on Thursday, August 3rd, Mother Nature had other plans. Following qualifying for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers and after a lap-two caution in the first heat race for the rk Miles Street Stocks, the skies opened up once again to pour down on Thunder Road. With the rain remaining prevalent and lightning in the area, officials opted to postpone the remainder of Thursday’s program to Sunday, August 20th.

Barre, VT — After trying to beat out the rain on Thursday, Thunder Road got beat, and beat bad. After drying out the track enough to get the three Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tiger heat race qualifiers and set the field for the Myers Container Service Triple Crown championship 100-lap event, a much heavier rain-cell moved in on top of the first rk Miles Street Stock heat race. While the Thunder Road safety crew attempted to dry out the racing surface once again, another cell moved in that pushed officials to postpone the remainder of the show.

Along with crowning the Myers Triple Crown champion, the Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Models, rk Miles Street Stocks and Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors all return to the Nation’s Site of Excitement this Thursday.
