Track officials have announced plans for the latest running of the famed event at the Barre high banks on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1, with five divisions of racing action that promise something for every racing fan in the Northeast.

Hometown driver Jason Corliss scored his third Thunder Road Late Model win of the season in dramatic fashion at Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Night on Thursday, August 24. The number-thee point driver fended off fellow Barre competitor Cody Blake and South Burlington’s Trampas Demers in a three-car thriller to take his seventh career Late Model victory in the Thursday night finale.

Barre’s Thunder Road hosts its final Thursday night event of the 2017 racing season this Thursday, August 24 with Jet Service Envelope/Accura Printing Night. All four divisions will be in action as drivers set themselves up for the final push in their title chases.

Danville’s Tyler Cahoon dove inside Barre’s Boomer Morris with nine laps remaining and went on to his first Thunder Road Late Model feature win of the season at U.S. Army Recruiting Night on Thursday, August 17. It was the third straight podium finish for the veteran driver as he continued his resurgence after a tough first half of the year.

Craftsbury Common’s Mike Martin & Waterbury Center’s Jason Woodard were the big winners on Thursday, August 10 in the Myers Container Service Triple Crown finale for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers. Woodard took his fourth Tiger victory of the season while Martin captured the first championship of the 2017 Thunder Road season as part of Cody Chevrolet Cadillac Night.
