Barre, VT – Two of the most decorated Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model drivers in Thunder Road history, Milton’s Scott Dragon and Middlesex’s Phil Scott, put another notch in their belts at Community College of Vermont Night on Thursday, June 27. Two-time “King of the Road” Dragon earned his second straight win in the Casella Waste Systems make-up feature to start the evening while Vermont Governor Scott captured his 31st career Late Model victory at the track in the nightcap.

Barre, VT – School may be out for the summer, but Barre’s Thunder Road is ready to give some lessons in high-speed excitement this Thursday, June 27 at Community College of Vermont (CCV) Night. The final event of June includes double the action for the Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Models as they kick their championship battle into high gear.

Barre, VT – Milton’s Scott Dragon bounced back in a big way after a rough start to the 2019 season by grabbing his seventh career Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Model win at NorthCountry Federal Credit Union Night on Friday, June 21. The defending “King of the Road” took the lead from Wolcott’s Marcel J. Gravel on lap 29 of the 50-lap feature and was never headed en route to victory.

Barre, VT – Mother Nature won again at Thunder Road on Thursday as track officials have postponed NorthCountry Federal Credit Union Night due to a 100 percent chance of rain. The event has been rescheduled for Friday, June 21 at 7:00pm.

NorthCountry Night will feature a full card of racing action for the Maplewood/Irving Oil Late Models, Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, Allen Lumber Street Stocks, and Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors. It will also include the completion of the Flying Tiger Casella Waste Systems feature from the previous Friday. The pits open at 3:30pm and the front gates open at 5:15pm. Admission is $12 for adults, $3 for kids ages 6-12, and $25 for a family of four (2 adults, 2 kids). It is also Scout Night at Thunder Road with all scouts in uniform admitted free of charge.

Barre, VT – The season may be a few events old, but no one at Thunder Road is ready to slow down. All four divisions will be in action for NorthCountry Federal Credit Union Night this Thursday, June 20 at 7:00pm. And if the first month of the season has been any sign, teams and fans can bank on another exciting night at the “Nation’s Site of Excitement”.

Barre, VT – Thunder Road officials have officially set the dates to make up the remainder of the Casella Waste Systems Night card that was cut short by rain on June 14.  Both the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers and the Maplewood/Irving Late Models will have “double feature” nights in the coming weeks, adding bonus racing and excitement for Thunder Road fans.

Barre, VT – Hometown racer Jeffrey Martin won a thriller in the Allen Lumber Street Stock feature on Casella Waste Systems Night before rain cut the rest of the program short. Martin got the advantage on Wolcott’s Jamie Davis during a green-white-checkered shootout and edged him in a photo-finish for his second win of the season.
