Barre, VT — Announced in the first driver’s meetings of the year at Thunder Road Speedbowl in Barre, Vermont and White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, New Hampshire was the start of a Social Media Challenge. Monitored by officials throughout the season, drivers from Thunder Road, White Mountain and the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour were challenged to build and use their Social Media accounts to let race fans know when their next race was, progress on their respective seasons, sponsor updates and all-out positivity for the sport during the 2025 season.
At Thunder Road, South Hero’s Taylor Hoar earned the $500 top prize and Johnson’s Jamie Davis earned the runner-up $200 prize for their constant updates, upbeat attitudes and drawing attention to their sponsors and events all year long. Similarly, it was decided by officials that White Mountain’s Flying Tiger Rookie of the Year Todd Derrington took the top seed for the New Hampshire oval and full-time Late Model runner Reilly Lanphear took the runner-up spot. It was announced at Seekonk Speedway prior to the Haunted Hundred in October that Raphael Lessard had taken the ACT Social Media Challenge with Kaiden Fisher close behind.
Looking forward to 2026, the Social Media Challenge returns for both Thunder Road and White Mountain along with the international Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour. However, it was also announced at the Sunoco World Series in October that the Social Media Challenge will also be in place for competitors at Thompson Speedway.
“The Social Media Challenge was a great way to show appreciation to our racers while also showcasing how great a tool social media is if used properly,” said ACT Director of Race Day Operations Scott Tapley. “The 2026 challenge begins on January 1st and we’ll be keeping an eye open all throughout the year.”
Next up for the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour top runners is the annual Banquet of Champions on Saturday, January 3rd at the Capital Plaza in Montpelier, Vermont. Ticket information and 2026 registration paperwork are both available for teams online at www.acttour.com/forms.
