Greater Burlington’s NBT Bank Signs on to Support Road Warrior Challenge on August 6

Barre, VT – It was announced on Wednesday that NBT Bank has committed to support the fan-favorite Road Warrior Challenge on Thursday, August 6 at Thunder Road Speedbowl.

NBT Bank is an independent, community-focused financial institution dedicated to putting customers first and strengthening the communities it serves. With a full range of personal banking, business banking and wealth management services, NBT has offices in Burlington, South Burlington, Williston and Essex Junction.

The extra-distance Challenge for the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors continues the eight-year annual tradition of putting these bare-bones machines against one another in 50 grueling laps of calamity. The popular starting division was reborn back in 2017 and has since given way to several top competitors on the next rungs in the Thunder Road ladder including the rk Miles Street Stocks, Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers and Maplefields/Irving Late Models.

We’re thrilled to help keep that tradition going.”

“We’re glad to have NBT Bank join the Thunder Road family,” said Thunder Road Managing Partner Cris Michaud. “This is a new and exciting chapter in their marketing portfolio and we know the great fans and drivers of Thunder Road appreciate their support.”
