Barre, VT – After a stellar Father’s Day Sunday at the Nation’s Site of Excitement, Thunder Road is ready to roll with Thursday Night Racing once again this week. Community College of Vermont presents Double Feature night with the Maplefields/Irving Late Models, Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, rk Miles Street Stocks and the Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Divisions all ready for twin features this Thursday following the fan-favorite Kids Rides from 3:30pm to 4:15pm.
East Thetford, Vermont’s Brandon Gray has been on rails in the Maplefields/Irving Late Models this season with the sophomore driver leading the early season standings. Gray, the 2025 Late Model Rookie of the Year, has been extremely consistent and ultra-competitive after winning the opening Thursday night event earlier this month and looks to double down with two chances on Community College of Vermont Night. On the same lines, former King of the Road track champions Chris Pelkey, Bobby Therrien and Jason Corliss lead the early favorites to be standing tall in victory lane this Thursday.
The Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers have also been putting on some ultra-competitive, edge-of-your-seat racing as of late and will have two 40-lap showdowns on CCV Night. Wolcott’s Brendan Moodie continues to lead the standings and is four for four in top-five finishes but has yet to claim the win. Alongside Moodie, Jason Pelkey, Logan Powers and Luke Peters have shown great speed the last several weeks with all having two chances to get on the winners sheet on Thursday.
It’s been a roller coaster ride for the rk Miles Street Stocks with Williamstown’s Kyle MacAskill now comfortably leading the standings this week. With only Nate ‘Tater’ Brien among the top five still without a win this season, the wild and popular Street Stocks will go to war on Community College of Vermont Night with twin 25-lap events. With the handicap set to turn following their first feature, it’s sure to be anyone’s game all night long.
The Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division also returns Thursday for CCV Double Features with the youngsters set to get plenty of practice on the highbanks! Third-generation racer Kaden Wimble took the win on Sunday while much of the field remained competitive enough throughout their 15-lap feature to make it difficult to pull for an early favorite!
The action at Thunder Road continues this Thursday, June 25 with Community College of Vermont (CCV) Double Feature Night for the Maplefields/Irving Late Models, Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, rk Miles Street Stocks and the Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division with a Special 6:30pm Post Time!
