802 Cars Group Ready to Present Round #2 in the Myers Container Flying Tiger Triple Crown on July 16

Barre, VT – The Nation’s Site of Excitement is ready to roar once again on Quarry Hill with the 802 Cars Group set to present Round #2 in the Myers Container Service Triple Crown for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers this Thursday, July 16. The Thunder Road faithful are ready for the thrill of 75 laps of Flying Tiger competition alongside the Maplefields/Irving Late Models, rk Miles Street Stocks and the Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division!

After last week’s thrilling $2,000-to-win, 100 lapper, the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers have a lot to live up to once again this Thursday. Brendan Moodie and Cooper French showed the crowd both in-person and at home on the North East Short Track Network (NESTN.tv) how it’s done on the Barre highbanks, showcasing thrilling side-by-side action. French got the $2,000 check but Moodie is still in the long game, leading the track championship points but looks to climb up from the fifth position in the Myers Container Triple Crown standings. Meanwhile, Derrick Calkins looks to continue his run in the Myers events to make it two-for-two in 2026!

After breaking the record last Friday night, Jason Corliss now sits atop the Maplefields/Irving Late Model standings in search of a record fifth King of the Road title to further cement his place in history. The top five runners remain a mix of fellow former Kings alongside both Justin Prescott and Brandon Gray. The two up and coming drivers who climbed the Thunder Road ladder system are having career seasons in the Late Models so far with each looking wrap it up in a bow with the championship this season.

The rk Miles Street Stocks have a new leader atop the standings with Brookfield’s Tyler Wheatley taking the five point lead over Williamstown’s Kyle MacAskill after last week’s 30-lap feature. The Street Stocks have put together another competitive season, averaging over 30 cars a week and have yet to hoist a repeat winner in victory lane! Perhaps most impressive is this year’s rookie class with Zachary Garvey his second third-place podium in a row while Owen Dupuis, Derrick Mann and Riley Morris have been in the mix these last several weeks. Look for these freshman drivers to start making moves towards the winner’s circle.

The Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division returns to Thunder Road on 802 Cars Group Night with the championship racers of tomorrow all looking for a win on Thursday! Maddie Potter, Evan Folsom and Bella Hamel are among the youngsters looking to join Chloe Doyle, Gracen Gorham and Kaden Wimble as a Thunder Road victor this year.
