Barre, VT – After defeating some mechanical gremlins throughout the last week, Claremont, New Hampshire’s Erin Beaudry earned the pole position in qualifying and brought the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers to green. Beaudry battled hard with Travis Patnoe throughout the first dozen laps before Beaudry finally broke free to take full control out front. Disaster struck on lap 17 with Beaudry spinning off the hood of Jaiden Del Toro in turn one with a multitude of cars piling in and leaving Patnoe and Parker Gagne to bring the field back to green.

Gagne powered by with a full head of steam on the outside lane to lead followed closely by Chris LaForest before the two started a side-by-side race for the ages and allowed Luke Peters to join the fun. Peters made his way into second by lap 37 while Logan Powers made his way into fifth after being involved in the lap 17 caution. Parker Gagne may have ran away with the Times Argus Midseason Championship on the track but post race technical inspection discovered unapproved trailing arms, giving Luke Peters the win, Cooper French second and Chris LaForest third.

The rk Miles Street Stocks were next on track with ‘Flyin’ Fred Fleury and Jen Getty leading the field to green before the first caution flag flew on lap two as Kyle MacAskill, Logan Farnsworth, Paul Rocheleau and more drove into the smoke. With the mehem back under green, Derek Farnham launched into the lead around Fleury and Getty as Ryan Foster followed on the outside groove. Fighting back from deep in the pack, Hayden Morris fought back to take over the lead around Farnham on lap 15 with Jackson Hunt in tow.

The young pair of next generation drivers ran away at the head of the field but it was Hunt who used a pack of lap cars to pick his way into the lead on lap 21. Morris climbed back to the outside on lap 29 and with five to go they were joined by Tyler Whittemore and Hayden Bushey as the top four drove under a fitted sheet! A mishap with a lap car pushed Morris and Bushey out of contention leaving Whittemore and Hunt to battle it out under the white flag. Jackson Hunt would nail down a thrilling first career win at Thunder Road followed by Whittemore and Bushey across the line.

Stephen Donahue brought out the Maplefields/Irving Late Models for their 65-lap feature, battling hard with Justin Prescott in the opening stages. Prescott would nab the edge and began to run away with the lead ahead of Marcel Gravel and Stephen Martin. The caution-free feature saw more action deep in the pack as Kaiden Fisher drove up from a 14th-place starting spot and going to ware with Brandon Gray as the leaders navigated traffic up ahead. In the end, Justin Prescott dominated to the win with Marcel Gravel and Kaiden Fisher rounding out the top three.

Initial leader Jacob Hall-Larson caved to Cayden Green by lap eight of the Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warrior feature with the NESTN.tv Double Purse on the line. Green and Hall-Larson put on a whale of a fight out front while Taylor Sayers and Brendan Premont fought over third. Putting on a show up front, Cayden Green took down his first win of the season over Taylor Sayers and Eddie Thompson at the line.

Bergamot + Amor and Calkins Portable Toilets team up to present the World Famous Port-a-Potty Grand Prix on Thursday, July 30 at Thunder Road. The Maplefields/Irving Late Models, Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers, rk Miles Street Stocks and Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors go to battle on the Barre Highbanks alongside the Ken Squier tradition with racing action set to start at 7:00pm.
