What are your favorite hobbies outside of racing?

I snowmobile and I enjoy camping. I try to camp as much as I can outside of work. I park my camper just a few miles away from my shop at Char-Bo Campground in Derby. I leave it there seasonally other than a few times a year that I might pull it out to go on vacation with my kids somewhere. It’s close to work, and that’s part of what I do for work is working on campers.

Outside of racing, I’d say my number one is deer hunting, by far. It’s even a close first between deer hunting and racing, to be honest with you.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of racing?

I used to like playing with gas-powered R/C cars. My old high school teacher had a bunch, and he’d bring them into class, and we’d go watch and play with them in the parking lot. So my brother and I got gas and electric ones that we’d go race around the parking lot. And his neighbor had a race track with a jump in it, so we’d go play over there on the weekends. I also grew up on a farm, so I like playing with the cows.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of racing?

I love deer hunting. I really do – even when it’s a skunk year and I don’t get one. Just being out in the woods and nature is kind of a Zen thing. It’s so peaceful. The cell phone’s gone, the hustle and bustle is gone – it’s just you and the animals.

I like working in the shop working on cars. I also enjoy snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, and those sorts of things. Basically, everything to do with power sports.

Pretty much all I do is work, ski, and race. I started skiing when I was high school, and I typically go four or five times a year -- I like to ski at Bolton in particular.

What are your favorite hobbies outside of racing?

My number one hobby would be R/C racing. I’ve been R/C racing in Barre since I was six. Most recently I’ve been running CoT, which is the cars with the 4th-gen body that they raced in NASCAR. They’re 1/12-scale cars. Other than that, I pretty much just work on cars all day when I’m not actually working.
