Forecasted Thunderstorms Move Five Star Roofing Night to New Twilight Special on Sunday, August 9

Myers Container Triple Crown Round #1 Added to Mekkelsen RV Sunday Showcase

Barre, VT – Thunder Road Officials have made the difficult decision to postpone Five Star Roofing Night in the interest of precaution due to severe thunderstorms forecasted throughout the day Thursday to a new twilight special on Sunday, August 9.

With the move the first round in the Myers Container Service Triple Crown for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers has been added to the Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic make-up event this Sunday, June 21.

“We held out hope but with the most severe weather coming through between two and four this afternoon, followed by scattered showers throughout the evening, we made a decision in the interest of everyone,” said Thunder Road managing partner Cris Michaud. “We look forward to seeing everyone on Father’s Day Sunday.”

While Mother Nature had her say for Thursday, the Nation’s Site of Excitement will be back in action on Father’s Day Sunday for the delayed Mekkelsen RV Memorial Day Classic on Sunday, June 21! Now with the addition of Round #1 of the Myers Container Triple Crown 75, Sunday’s racing action will also include the Memorial Day Classic 125 opener of the Squier Cup presented by Milton CAT for the Maplefields/Irving Late Models along with the rk Miles Street Stocks, Burnett Scrap Metals Road Warriors and the Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division!

Sunday’s five-division racing action will begin at 1:30pm after grandstands open at 10:00am with General Admission set at $20, Kids 6-12 are $10 with Children five and under free! The Family Four Pack (two adults, two kids) is $50 on Sunday.
